ISIS uses social media as a main source to spread its propaganda. ISIS tends to post graphic photos or videos that'll spread fear among the public. The videos are a way to threaten non-supporters and demonstrates what'll happen to them if they don't join ISIS. There are videos of them committing beheading, executions, showing dead bodies, suicide bombers, and other terrifying actions. These videos quickly capture the public's attention and causes people to talk.

Trump's Plan for ISIS
Modified 1/18/17 4:15 P.M. By: Damali Ramirez
Throughout his Presidential campaign, Donald Trump emphasized on the subject towards ISIS. He blamed Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama for allowing ISIS to spread into global news. He promised the country he'll put an end to the terrorist group if he's elected President.
Trump stated he'll first establish a connection with the Middle East. He wants countries such as Israel, Jordan, and Egypt to fight the battle against ISIS. He also wants to establish a connection with Russia in order to end the terrorist group.
Once his secret plans are in motion, he'll pause immigration from certain countries.

ISIS' deliberate killing of Syrian citizens
Modified 1/18/2017 By Nicole Gelfman
https://www.hrw.org/news/2015/07/03/syria-deliberate-killing-civilians-isis]
As stated in the Human Rights Watch, a 2015 attack in Northern Syria led to the killing of 233 to 262 and wounding 273 civilians. This was a targeted attack, tricking the innocent people by wearing similar clothing, proceeding to fatally shoot them after gaining their trust. Their main objective was to attack the citizens, mainly killing Kurds in the end. This prompted fighting between Kurdish and ISIS forces, ongoing till this day. Witnesses clearly state how their main objective was to spread terror throughout villages, attempting to establish authority and superiority amongst the common public. This attack established more of ISIS' intentions, creating a bigger threat to most people, not just military forces.

Why ISIL started
1/11/16 7:30 am
There have been many, many, rumors as to why ISIL stated in the first place. A popular one that was enforced by our president-elect Donald Trump is that President Obama and Secretary Clinton are the founder and co-founder of ISIL, respectively.
ISIL was Al-Qaeda.
Yes, ISIL is derived by the other terror group that was formed.
During the Iraqi war with Saddam Hussein, Al-Qaeda was traveling back and forth from Syria to Iraq to resupply. Eventually, this method was too tedious for some members and with the connections they had made in Syria, ISIL was soon created.
During this time as well, Al-Qaeda was angry that ISIL was created and they had a mini civil war with themselves. This wasn't serious and didn't last long, but the two terror groups decided to part ways and create their own destiny.

On Sunday, relatives of those who have been recruited by ISIS, burned portraits of the ISIS leader Baghdadi at a rally located in Chechen capital of Grozny. Thousands of people joined the protest against the extremist group near the Heart of Chechnya Mosque. The rally included parents and relatives of those who were recruited by ISIS. They protested against the fact that luring young people to fight for ISIS in Syria and Iraq was wrong and urging Chechens to not fall for ISIS propaganda.

Women in ISIS

The role of women in the radicalized group is minimalized as Shariah law promotes the role of the traditional home-maker. Because it is in the religious law, male ISIS members believe in establishing the mother, wife, and home-carer role for women involved in the movement, leaving little space for actual terrorist actions. However, many still use women as propaganda spreaders, in order to recruit more Western women (and people in general), as stated in Independent. With more recruited women, ISIS members hope to expand their wanted Islamic state and have more people to care for them.

Istanbul Nighclub Killer's Wife claims she doesn't know he is in ISIS
Modified 1/03/2017 By: Nicole Gelfman
http://nypost.com/2017/01/03/wife-had-no-idea-istanbul-nightclub-killer-was-in-isis/
According to The New York Post, the wife of Istanbul's recent killer has no clue that her husband is in ISIS. The attack on New Year's Eve killed 39 people in a nightclub. The killer lived with his wife and two children in Kyrgyzstan until November 22, later moving to Istanbul to plan an attack. The wife had stated that she had found out about the attack on T.V., completely unaware that it was her husband who carried it out. ISIS later claimed responsibility for the attack, claiming the man (whose name we still do not know) as a brave soldier.
